Taking flight.

At last today we had some sunshine. What's more I had the luxury of a half-day AND I actually got away from work more or less on time. I took a stroll through the Cathedral Precincts which was nice then when I got home dumped my groceries and hied off to the park hoping to get some action-shots of gulls.

I'm quite pleased with this one. The strong and varied shapes of the wings makes up for the slightly washed-out colour and the weak lower right corner doesn't really detract too much from the composition. I tried various crops on this but eventually settled for the virtually untampered image here.
