Going rotten

I blipped one of these cones the day following the referendum , and it seems appropriate to do a decaying one today.

Until now I have taken refuge in the thought that too many people have been misinformed and misdirected, partly by a press that is controlled by just a few people with different interests to most of us.

Yes, the opposition was poor but the faults in the government, its outcomes and its intentions couldn't have been clearer. The scale of Johnson's victory makes me fear that England really has a majority that are genuinely xenophobic, respectful of privilege that they can never have, uncaring of those worse off than themselves, and for whom honesty in leadership is optional.

This isn't my England any more; perhaps it never was.
