Fungi

I went out early afternoon with two fellow photographers to see what we could find to photograph on Aylesbeare Common.  I had only really walked across it as part of a what and not taken the time to explore so it was surprising what we found when looking closely in the woods.  We came across an enormous fungus about the size of a dinner plate with curled edges and white gills underneath.  A smaller jelly like orange fungus and the remains of this rather attractively coloured one, possibly a Chanterelle.

A brisk walk back via some newly created pools, its certainly still very cold in the wind.  Both my husband and I are now suffering with colds, probably the price you pay from returning from a very warm climate.
