We’re decorated!

The granddaughters came over after school today to help decorate .   Big help actually.   First the tree, then the mantel with all the wee wooden Swedish figures, but AFTER  they have races with them on the floor.  ( Tatum .... new haircut.....invented this game about 13 years ago and think is pretty bored but Fiona loves it, and the big sister is very indulging. )   Of course the cleaners cleaned this morning and the kitchen was spotless for several hours before the cookie baking began.   ( Hence, Boppa with the vacuum).  They are a big help with these very thin rolled sugar decorated cookies but somehow this year finished less.... decided it was a “Lot of Work”.  Duh.   ( You can guess who will be finishing them tomorrow...).   Interspersed with the advent calendar play on the iPad and Fiona wanted to read some letters from “ A Velocity of Being “ to Tatum (she really likes these!!).  Dinner mostly pizza and cookies for them, leftovers for us,  and then the traditional after dinner magic show ( traditions are strong in this family :-)) but they are getting a bit big for this one,   They truly do enjoy each other to bits.
   
It all beats trying to get Shutterfly on a bad phone connection with accent, to make my calendar work on my computer OR iPad —-they gave me a free one!    however tomorrow I will see if it will actually  happen.
