Himalayan lilies at Mt Peel
Nature Photography Club trip to The Acland's property at Mt Peel to see the lilies which were stunning. They grow naturalized in among beautiful large trees, and today they were at their very best. The weather was perfect too with a high overcast and no wind. The whole area was scented. They are up to 2 metres + tall, and each stem has up to 10 flowers, an amazing sight.
Extras of the lilies being used as decoration in the beautiful stone church on the property, with lovely stained glass windows, and the Acland Falls, a short bush walk through native forest.
