free as a bird

It rained all afternoon. I had a soggy walk on a beach and gathered sea beet leaves for dinner. It was too wet to take the camera out but I took a few shots from inside the car on the drive home. I love how the gull soared into the shot, and how it seems to hang there riding the winds.

I'm taking to the air myself tomorrow and going to London to visit my youngest daughter now that she is settled there with a decent job and a nice place to live.
