If dogs run free, then why not we
Across the swooping plain?
My ears hear a symphony
Of two mules, trains and rain
The best is always yet to come

I bumped into a friend in town today. Before I even spoke she said 'I've pulled up the drawbridge on politics, I don't want to talk about it.' 
We agreed that the best thing to do is to focus on family, friends and community, and to offer help and support to whoever needs it, since it's unlikely to be coming from elsewhere. Participation, volunteering and mutual aid are crucial now.
