Winter colour

With all the leaves falling off everything and the last of the roses finally giving up its nice to see a bit of new colour in the garden.

The first of the Winter irises has bloomed and I can see more on the way. This little patch has been there as long as we have and every year, even when we’ve had heavy snow, they’ve come up.

Along with these and some Winter violets they provide some vibrant colour to see us through till Spring.
