The optimism of tree decorating.... it sounds like fun, it should be fun but it’s inevitably a tangle of lights and irritation! And then I remember it fondly and think it was marvellous.

Grateful for a reasonably priced tree, honest and non-judgmental conversations with friends with opposing views, a cold glass of Chablis.
