Photographic Poeticisms

Dawn Regrets

Dawn burns the Eastern sky
As another day begins
Men wake with stretching pose
And regret their evening sins

Holding heavy, pulsing head
In midst of open, shaking palms
They question long and hard
Last night's alchohol's charms

The pleasures of past eve
Fade fast to background noise
As remembering their actions
While "being one of the boys"

The pain then inflicted
On one of youthful innocence
Now in pained afterthought
Suddenly makes no sense

Though at the time
They were just having their fun
Realisation brightly dawns
That it was all overdone

Drunken revellery
Is nought but a lame excuse
For words said and deeds done
Due to alchohol's abuse
