Chilli Chicken with Chickpea Mash

I made this tonight for our tea. From scratch. Yes, I shocked myself, but not as much as I shocked my husband. You see I'm not really known for my cooking skills and that job has fallen to my husband who enjoys being in the kitchen, thank goodness. He'd probably claim it's because he doesn't want to eat cereal or pasta every night.
I'm trying to make an effort to cook more and try new dishes and this was tonight's offering. It was pretty delicious which is good but I think my hubby may now expect me to do more cooking as he really enjoyed it.
Perhaps I'll cook and he can do the cleaning instead!
