Early sunshine ....

... it didn't last long.

I had an unusually early walk and spotted a dozen Redwing, many more Blackbirds, Nuthatches, Mistle Thrush, Kestrel, Reed Bunting and a pair of Stonechats and today in the place I have recently seen high numbers of Fieldfare there were none so perhaps they only visit later in the day.

The trees on Shire Hill were lit up by that low sun and there was a little snow on the hill tops but nothing compared to further north.
