Third week in Advent...

The third wise man joined the tableau in the church today. The one who brought myrrh as a gift for the infant Jesus. An incense signifying grief and used in death. How must his mother have received such a gift? Yet it was to die for our salvation that Jesus was born. Some aspects of faith can be hard to understand.

Later today we began to bring the Christmas season to our home. A few changes necessary as we will have a baby and a dog here on Christmas Day! This evening, D has sat at one end of the table writing cards with me at the other writing letters.

So I think we’ve made progress!
