Tinkers Creek Gorge

Today we went to the Bedford Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks, and walked along the top of the steep icy ridge of Tinkers Creek Gorge.  We stayed well away from the edge.  It was a short outing as the temperature was 28 degrees but the wind was cold, cold, cold.  It was hard to take pictures and it was very gray, until we were almost home and the sun came out briefly for sunset.  We hardly saw a soul at the park or cars on the roads.

Tinkers Creek is 28 miles long, starting in Portage County and eventually ending at Lake Erie.  The gorge was named a national natural landmark in 1967 by the National Park Service/US Dept of the Interior.  We look forward to exploring this 2,200 acre park more in warmer weather.

I'm adding two extras that from last night that were forgotten
until today
1:  coming home in the rain (I like the colored raindrops)
2:  the gazebo and Christmas tree in the village triangle

Thanks for your continued visits and comments :)  I hope the coming week is a good one for you :)
