Favourite decoration

This small embroidered Christmas tree decoration is my favourite one.  It is very colourful and hand embroidered.  It was given to me by a close friend and it was many years ago that she suggested we exchanged Christmas tree decorations as presents each year.  We still continue this practice.  Funnily enough this morning I came across an old photograph of her at her wedding, she was dressed in an Elizabethan costume and the rich colours of this decoration and style remind me of her dress.

The decoration is not yet on the tree, decorating it is next on the list of things to do having now posted my Christmas cards and presents.
