Woodland Friends

These little friends come out each Christmas Season and are some of our favorite decorations.

We spent most of the day at the celebration of life for our friend D's mother. The weather and traffic cooperated and we got to Framingham in good time despite the early hour and usual commuting nightmares. D delivered a wonderful eulogy for her mother, stoic, upbeat a testament to her deep love and connection to her 89 year old mother. After the service and burial we had a lovely meal together with D's friends and relatives. T and I sat with my painting mates and their spouses, a treat to be all together even at such a sad occasion. T and I hope to see D later this week, we've invited her to stay with us whenever she needs company.

This day came in cold and cloudy, snow on the way tomorrow.

All hands so sad for D, she and her mother were very close.
