The Blue Rope Light

I came across these lights in Edinburgh this afternoon, as I was walking past the Cath Kidston store on George Street (just along from the Assembly Rooms).

I don't think this was any of Cath's doing though; rather I think it was to attract attention (and possible custom) to the Supercube Karaoke Venue in the basement down below.

And by the way, those railings are listed - as well as the buildings themselves - so someone better be careful with those light ropes...
