TinyTuesday238 A twinkle in his eye
Sunday and Monday rushed by photo free: we did go to visit and stay overnight with my longest standing friend and her husband and have a splendid time but no time for taking pictures.
After such a lovely break, we had to leave them after breakfast in order to do some essential Christmas gift buying as this year we even more behind than usual. Once home there was just time to address a few more of the tasks needed to close down our (now sold) business.
Today was just as frantic: the morning was spent dealing with my own final salary payment and then rushing over to the practice to assist the practice manager with sending the pay variations to the new payroll processor - a first for her. Back home I spent what was left of the day dragging out Christmas decorations and catching up with putting them out before picking up Violet from her after school childminder for her regular weekly sleepover with us.
I did manage to draw breathe long enough to photograph this delightful drumming soldier (bought in Lavenham a couple of years ago). Somehow I managed to miss the twinkling lights, so I'll settle for the twinkle in his eye!
Many thanks to Carol Dunham for hosting this month.
