Here Comes the Sun

The Gardens are back to normal now that the Winter Wonderland and Christmas has gone. Once again we are able to take a stroll there and enjoy them at our leisure during daylight hours which, unusually, I managed to do today.

Of course, the one thing missing in this image is people; it could do with one or two sitting on the park benches. Some warmer weather (minus 4 today) or a little later in the year, will remedy that.

Nevertheless, It was lovely to see the sun and be reminded of how interesting shadows can be if the light is just right. Countdown now to spring and summer beyond (let's hope).

Incidentally, would anyone know the purpose of those square structures that are painstakingly being positioned/installed in the lower level of the gardens just at the moment?
