Goldeneyes

I went along to Brodgar. The lochs of Stenness and Harray were quite iced up so birds like these goldeneye had less open water than usual. It was quite thin ice and quite noisy as the water pushed it up and down. At Barnshouse hide a male hen harrier flew past  within about 20m but was too quick for me to photograph. Other birds- wigeon, teal, mallard, tufted duck, cormorants, greylags, ravens etc etc
