Deep Purple

We are fortunate to have Deep Purple' s keyboard player, Don Airey, living in our village. He has just treated 60 of us to an evening of road stories and music. Imagine hearing Bach played with one hand and Smoke on the Water with the other.

Don has also played with Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tulll and many others. Travelling the world for many years, he made us laugh "We don't have groupies any more, we have carers!" A lovely gentle man.
