Damsel in Distress
Probably the most dangerous scenario we've been in for a while, filling up #1 daughter's car from a jerry can on a busy, dark, rainy dual carriageway.
She had waited in the car 2 hours, the battery then went flat, her phone didn't work so she had had no option but to walk but was picked up by a car (arrrgh?!!!!!) and thankfully taken to the nearest garage, totally soaked to the skin. The guy let her use his phone and all I got was a garbled message of where she was. My directions to follow to pick her up were - 'a garage on the Evesham roundabout,' however, there are a few roundabouts and a few garages!
Hubs had to come later to bring jump leads and petrol but it was frightening as to use the leads the cars had to be nose to nose which meant him having to turn to face the wrong way up the carriageway. Just glad we are all home safely!
