Magnificent team performance tonight, 29 shots on target! Southend keeper was man of the match, making some stunning saves including a penalty, and then beaten by a cruel deflection. No less than Brentford deserved overall though.

An important win because it sets up a home tie versus some neighbouring team called Chelsea. The current european champions league holders at Griffin Park; whatever the result it should be a great day.

Tickets went on sale straight after the final whistle to season ticket holders only. After queueing for a while, some of us got directed around the edge of the pitch (which is when I got this photo) and then rejoined the long queue from the other side. At that point my cold toes were about to leave my feet so decided to leave it until tomorrow.
