Genuine Canada Geese

To be frank, the Canada Goose at your local gravel pit is a pretty rubbish bird. A Victorian introducee who have never flown further than to thier next crust and whose life seem to be that of the duckpond bully. 
These two little geese however have flow across the Atlantic from Canada and so live up to their name. 
That said, in fact they don't live up to their name as they are not Canada Geese at all but Cackling Geese of the hutchisonii form. Several years ago, Canada Geese were split into two species .More recently a suggestion was made to split them in six species and two hundred subspecies. Happily this is yet to happen.
A good day for the bird swith a large flock, c600,  of Snow Bunting at Aird an runair too, probablhy fresh in from Icleand.
