St Nicholas

According to wikipedia Saint Nicholas of myra was a 4th century Greek bishop not Santa claus St Nicholas apparently had a reputation for giving secret gifts to people in need. Santa claus originated in the USA. It was the victorians who linked the 2 from what I've discovered...

My picture is of the 15th century St Nicholas church in Chislehurst. I don't know about it's link to a Greek bishop or Father Christmas.
