Wine Filters

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

It was the school concert at the Usher Hall tonight and having enjoyed it so much last year, all the grandparents came along again.

The concert was (as always) lovely although Mary Doll’s decision to sing along with one of the choirs was met with a “no” from me!

After the show, we all went for a drink in the Sheraton (where Penny and Albert were staying. As Mary Doll was chatting to Penny, I made the mistake of getting The Youngest Mini Princess to show Victor her new ear piercing. I had forgotten Mary Doll’a super power of hearing conversations she isn’t part of. Not sure whether she was more horrified by the piercing or me for allowing it.

She then asked if either of the girls had boyfriends. Keen to deflect, YMP happily offered up her sister for the spotlight. There were the usual questions and then the glass of wine broke down the last of Mary Doll’s filters allowing her to ask “has he kissed you?”

Thankfully EMP just laughed it off. I might have to hide the wine on Christmas Day!
