Books

Today I was in town to see my youngest PhD student for the last time before Christmas, so I hoped to buy some of the books on L's wish-list in the second hand bookshops. However, I only found one before cutting my losses and getting the bus back to King's Buildings. A had to return the hire car, so I went back into town with her. We were then rather more successful in the "first-hand" bookshop, before rounding off the trip with a Japanese meal.

As for the car, the good news is that the fault's been found and will be fixed tomorrow. The bad news is that it'll cost £300!
