Still time to panic!

There was a time in the distant past that the countdown of just six nights to Christmas would have filled me with joy.  Or even not able to contain myself, with mounting excitement for the approaching big day.
Today, though, I am not so sure. The thought that the celebration is such a short time off, almost fills me with panic. Problem is that instead of a countdown of a decreasing number of slumber periods, my countdown is measured in shopping days, and too little time to do everything I would aspire to.
Aah well, maybe tomorrow I will have a fresh outlook, although one sleep less.
