Snowdrift blizzards, ice and sunshine.

Today I got up early and decided to go out and brave the outdoors and get a long run in before work. The wind chill was negative 18 (reasonably mild by Canadian standards) and it was nasty. I instantly regretted not taking the terreclava, (thats Airblasters version of a balaclava).

I headed up tunnel mountain where it got colder and windier. The wind was so strong it had blown snow all over the entire route I was taking so I had to break trail into a headwind up a mountain. This was the toughest non competitive run I have ever done in my life. I took the camera and got some shots looking down at Banff townsite on my way.
