Even the locals feel the heat

This is Aju, who sold us mangosteens on the way down these steps and fresh coconuts on the way up. We met her at the Elephant Caves temple (Goa Gajah) at Bedulu near Ubud. All of us westerners were dripping in the humidity, but you can see that Aju was not immune from it either. She was nonetheless busy sweeping the steps between customers.

Tonight is the end of our tour of Java and Bali, and I'm midway through my trip. Next stop Lombok.
