Pretty Poppy

We had a rash of power cuts this afternoon, just a few minutes each, but rather annoying. Then, as I was cooking pasta sauce and heating up the water for the pasta it went off for about 70 minutes. Worse still there was a half done loaf in the bread machine. My son and I were left waiting, unable to use our gadgets. How have we become so dependant on electricity? I was more annoyed with myself than the inconvenience. Eventually we had our dinner, and I baked the loaf in the big oven. No doubt people were working hard to get the power restored for us.
