She didn’t deserve this

Yesterday afternoon as we headed home, sis-in-law called. Bad news. Tinkerbelle had been attacked in the park, by a Jack Russell ..... and bro-in-law’s hand bitten, when he tried to prise open the assailant’s jaw.

The dog’s owner was seemingly disinterested and continued chatting in the distance. And was then uncooperative when confronted.

Luckily police were nearby and the matter is in their hands now.

Meanwhile darling Tinky was rushed to the vet, scanned and then operated. The vet was initially optimistic, but then found there was no hope. And so Tinky met her sad end.

A ended up in hospital and given antibiotics. His hand had swollen badly.

She was a feisty 12 year old. Always happy, lively, friendly. Loved everyone. A beautiful dog and wonderful companion.

She really was a one-off, and so funny.  She ruled the roost* (*her siblings: Portuguese water dogs, a chihuahua cross and a Heinz57 - all rescue dogs adopted in Spain). We, and they, will so miss her.
