Light Trails
First thing this morning I had a trek over to Farsley (on the border of Leeds and Bradford) to deliver some charity quilts to a regional collector. The quilts are for the ‘Quilts For Care Leavers’ charity - who provide a Christmas dinner for all children who have reached the age to leave the formal care system. At the parties each of the children can choose a large quilt to keep - and it is intended to provide warmth and a symbolic ‘hug’ for them as the venture forth into the world.
Took about an hour to get there - and then on the way back I stopped at Sainsbury’s to get some food for the weekend…..it was mental in there. Tannoy announcements apologising for the delay at the tills, but all tills were open and going as fast as possible. Fortunately I opted to use the ‘SmartShop’ (scan as you go) and avoided that, but just getting about was difficult.
Washed my car (in the rain) as we are visiting Mrs madwill’s mother (in Bedford) tomorrow - and the roads around here are so muddy with all the digging going on that the car got absolutely filthy. Tomorrow’s blip maybe of a motorway service station.
Emergency blip - taken on a soggy dog walk at dusk - a view of the A1(M) from the Thorner Road bridge looking north towards Wetherby. I like the sweep of carriageway disappearing off into the distance.
