Grey and windy day with few drops.

I've been wrapping up Christmas presents and cleaning and all that stuff you do on a day like this.

I also made rice porridge this evening. It's a traditional Christmas time dish in Finland. Boy the first rice porridge of the season always tastes as good as the first barbecued sausage of the season (summer).

The picture was taken when we went grocery shopping to a bigger store to find syrup for the casseroles I'm about to make. Which brings me to the horrible realization that my handheld blender broke last summer, and I was trying to survive without buying a new one, but this is it. I can not. I can't sacrifice the Christmas food. So I need to go get one.
