Rock and roll Friday night

Well - five weeks of dealing with volunteers, gift deliveries, applications that made me emotional on a daily basis we finished today!!

The few remaining gifts were packed up and made ready for storage; we completed a few last minute applications, swept the floor, tidied up the unit and that was it - we were out of there. Mr PHL and I were overwhelmed to be given a gift by the team for our efforts - a voucher for lunch at Martin ’s restaurant The Honours so we’re really looking forward to using that in the New Year.

Home for a long hot bath before dinner and now enjoying a glass of red wine and some Stilton and oatcakes before an early night.
