Birthday boy...again

Bathroom guy back again today.  Progress beginning to be seen.

Christmas deliveries arriving at very regular intervals.  Phew!

Last of the Christmas decs put up (we forgot about the christmas thows for the sofa in the garden room.  Now it's fully festive :-)

Birthday meal out for David at our local "special occasion" restaurant John and Fernanda's.  Ele and Kenny came too.  As ever the food was superb and the service excellent.  Lovely to chat to John at the end as he came to check we had enjoyed our meal.   A lovely man and an extremely talented chef.  

Left the cosy restaurant to be met with torrential rain.  Luckily the car was parked right at the door of the place.  Ele and Kenny would usually stay over but due to our lack of spare bedrooms at the moment and the fact I have a dental appointment in the morning, they decided it was easier to go home.  That meant Ele was taxi driver for the evening.

Back home and they came in for a little while and more Christmas planning was done.  Not sure if we will be hosting the family on New Year's Day as usual or going to Ele's.  It will depend on whether Kenny's mum feels well enough to travel the extra distance to ours.  If she does fine, if not, we will all go to Ele's.  

The traditional steak pies have been ordered from the butcher to be collected on Hogmanay, so at least I don't have to worry about that :-))
