Katie and Monkey's bond has not waned. He may not always be played with in the big games of nurseries and such, she likes her dolls for those, but he's never very far. Always in reaching distance in case of upset or insecurity, or just for an extra cuddle. He's always the one that soothes her when left at nursery. She sometimes takes two toys, goes in with one and tries to be brave, saying "Monkey has to have a sleep on my peg" (which I think is what they say to her, when they try to put the comforter toys away) but then wobbles at the doorway until I go back and get him.

They told me yesterday that she'd been in a grump with Steven for a while, as he'd encouraged her after lunch to change from her jammies to her clothes to go play in the snow. Apparently she wouldnt look him in the eye for the rest of the day. But today it was Steven she went to when she had the drop-off wobbles. Steven and Monkey.
