Baltic Amber

Here are two specimens of Baltic Amber, the one on the left contains a spider and the one on the right contains a fly and some pollen. Unlike the amber in Jurassic Park, Baltic amber is not as old as the dinosaurs, it is about 44 million years old, from the Eocene period, whereas the age of the dinosaurs finished with the Cretaceous, 65 million years ago
