Our Christmas Cake

For quite a few years now I have baked our Christmas cake and then handed it over to my daughter who has most expertly decorated it for me.  Now that we are living much further from her it was clearly not going to be possible to transport the cake backwards and forwards between Cumbria and Somerset so this year I baked two Christmas cakes back in  October.  One I was able to give to my daughter when she came for a pre-Christmas visit recently; the remaining one was for our use and I have attempted to decorate it myself.  No finesse I fear - just a cut out herdy.  Somehow it seemed appropriate for our new location.
