A Christmas Carol.

Went with friend S to see the matinee performance of Dickens' seasonal tale at the exquisite St George's Hall Concert Room (see extra for ceiling), on the very stage where  Dickens himself appeared numerous times to recite his books. We both enjoyed the excellent production, although S in addition enjoyed several mini-naps as a result of a good lunch, a warm darkened room, and the mulled wine we consumed upon arrival.
I found it unexpectedly moving, maybe because I've felt like a bit of a miserable Scrooge character recently.. Not liking this Christmas...
