It's a lot less bovver than a hover!
A and I went for a walk this afternoon from Morston to Blakeney and back with a hot chocolate at the Blakeney Hotel at the half way point. It rained this morning and it was so nice to see the sun this afternoon after so much rain recently (we're now up to 11.5 inches of rain in just under 3 months per my rain gauge which is 64% of our annual rainfall!)
Walking along the raised path over the marshes we stopped briefly to watch this kestrel hovering - they stay so still it's amazing. I only had my lens that goes up to 135mm, but I did manage to get this shot as it flew off which surprised me as I wasn't on shutter priority and my ISO was too low - always worth a try!
