Another day of horrendous weather

This afternoon it has rained and rained and rained. …...........But fortunately we no longer have a waterfall coming through our landing ceiling. Phew! Oh and if you read about our 'trauma' the other day......................... Latest update....................... Juozas came round this morning and removed all the wet insulation that was still in our loft.



I managed to have a 'first thing in the morning walk' without getting wet and then a little bit later on I went into the field to play with my ball. This afternoon I just assumed that I'd be going to the beach because Ann promised me that while we're in Cornwall I can have a play on the beach every day.



Mmmmmmm..................... I think this is the first time Ann has lied to me?!!



The rain was relentless so at about 3pm (when it was almost pitch dark), Ann said, 'Trixie, lets go to Tesco and then hopefully by the time we come back it will have stopped raining and we can go to the beach before it gets properly dark.'



Famous last words. Driving to Tesco was horrible. The surface water on the roads was like a river. And when we got home it was even worse so I got taken into the field for toileting purposes. I had a wee & a poo almost straight away. Yay! It seems like a lifetime away when Ann was stressing about toilet training me.



............….But I didn't go to the beach.  Boohoo!!!


Apparently I might get taken for a walk later on if it stops raining. I don't think it's going to stop raining so I'm probably going to have to stay in until it's time for my bedtime wee now. For once our weather app seems to be quite accurate.



Oh well, ho hum.   I have to say that for the last few days I've been getting 3 big walks a day so to be honest I'm quite happy just having snooze time.



Tomorrow we're heading up to Derbyshire to stay with Ann's sister, Sue, and Alfie the Beardie for Christmas. I'm going to be in the car for a long time so Ann has promised me that I can go for a play on the beach before we leave, whatever the weather. Mmmmmmm...................... I'm just hoping she keeps her promise??!!



PS – This is a BLIP of me waiting in the car while Ann was in Tesco. Normally I just lie down in 'good dog mode' when I'm left in the car but the rain was battering the car sooooo hard that I felt I had to keep a look out so I could see when Ann was coming back??!!



PPS – Ann had to go to Tesco because she's a bit worried that she hasn't brought enough food away for me. Since I've been in Cornwall I've been eating like a horse where does that saying come from? and she's not sure that I'll have enough to last me for another week. Unfortunately the St Ives Tesco doesn't sell puppy food It doesn't have a very big range of adult doggie food either so she's bought me some adult doggie turkey & rice food.



I'm hoping that as it's Christmas I'm going to get some proper turkey. I've never had proper turkey before but I've heard that it's yummy. I've also heard that I'll get presents at Christmas. I am soooooo looking forward to Christmas. #Only4moresleeps
