Found it!

We're testing ideas to entertain the grandchildren for a few days after Christmas, so we looked for - and found a few - geocaches around Potter Fell and Gurnal Dubs. An interesting way to spend a drizzly morning, finding things hidden away in gateposts and between rocks that we've passed hundreds of times on our walks.
