Botanics By Daylight
The suggestion was that we visit the Botanics to see the witch hazels because ours is already in flower.
Of course the light installations for the Christmas At The Botanics are still in place, unlit, awaiting darkness to fall but some have appeal even in daylight. Fortunately these provided the entertainment instead of the witch hazels, which, apart from H var. Jelena, were only just showing colour and were effectively isolated by the temporary fencing.
On our way home we managed to obtain a few last-minute shopping items with the exception of marzipan, of which there appears a shortage - the Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Aldi branches had none. However, I have yet to make that cake so can afford to wait for new deliveries!
