Almost Christmas

Our annual family Christmas party was today, and for the first time in many years that I have not hosted. It was so much more fun to just relax and enjoy! I tried to take a few photos, but for such an event, using manual was too difficult with the 50mm on a dslr. I read somewhere that it is the equivalent of a 70mm on a dslr compared to a full frame. I think the phone would have done a better job. 
I did notice that the 50mm lens is very particular about the focus settings.
