Shortest day

Today is the winter solstice. Hooray. From tomorrow we will head into Christmas with the shortest day behind us, and progressively longer hours of daylight going forward. On this deepest winter day, here is my little grandson determinedly making the most of the light on a walk with his dad in some very sodden countryside.
