Misty canal

This morning emerged in mist and frost. As usual it was all gone by the afternoon. Realising this I was down at the canal at 11am, when I bumped into out local 'Big Issue' seller. I was asking him for a mag, when something caught my eye. It was a kingfisher perched on this concrete thing, who's purpose I've never understood. We were not that far away, but it didn't seen bothered. At one point it flew off and then came back again. With the mist and gloom, there wasn't really enough light to show the little bird's colours, so I've made it my extra shot.
