Le Meridien Village

Another back-blip... another day coding invoices! Another late night where blip had to take a back seat! :(

I just happened to wear a red t-shirt to work, and couldn't help noticing that nearly everyone else was wearing something red or very Christmassy! It turns out, Secret Santa is happening today. I was invited to stay, but a quiet lunch at home really appeals at the moment.

Our friend Miriam is passing through Dubai tonight on her way back from the States, so we met up for Ladies Night at Le Meridien Village. We had several months to catch up on, so there was lots of chatter and I got this shot of the open-air dining area from the terrace. The band downstairs played some very unusual songs; a nice surprise. The band upstairs were slightly less audible this evening. Just as well. :)

We had intended to give Miriam a bit of a tour of Dubai before dropping her back to her hotel, but I was way too tired, and she hadn't slept for 24 hours, so was more than happy to take a raincheck! I wonder when it's going to feel like December. The weather was pleasant; not requiring any extra layers.
