Birthday girl

Ella is eight tomorrow and, with a birthday so close to Christmas, we try to have a special day for her that isn’t anything to do with Christmas. She seemed to like the puppy and the carrier I made for it.

A super party day with the family. We all contributed to a fine buffet and there was much fun and laughter.

But the big success was the tiny, but very powerful, torches I gave everyone, adults and children alike. Great fun outside as soon as it got dark.

Our youngest daughter and her husband are off down to Cornwall for Christmas in their new cottage. We are in Dover for a ferry crossing tomorrow. But we’ll be back very soon.
