Playing with Daddy
12 weeks 2 days
Euan has been a bit out of sorts today. There have been times to play and a lot of sleeping and some fractiousness. We are all holding our breaths that he hasn’t picked up another cold. Becky, Euan and I went for a long walk in the cemetery this afternoon which is still very pretty in its frosty covering, then after a feed Becky put him in the front carrier and we went back out as it came dark to see if we could find the Neighbourhood Memorial Service. We had expected to see neighbours processing with candles but in fact four of the streets were lined with paper bags containing tea lights. No cars were allowed to park on the streets so it made for a truly pretty sight with many of the houses decorated for Christmas.
We followed the bag lights up to the Cemetery where lots of wreaths had been laid, and the Chapel was lit up for carol singing. We couldn’t stay for that as it was time for Euan’s bath and bed so we turned for home. Next year Euan will be able to follow the lights and possibly stay for the singing. What a great neighbourhood they have moved in to!
My blip was taken in one of the lighter moments today when Euan was playing with his Daddy. You can see the sense of anticipation on his face as the ‘crinkle shminkle’ came to brush his face.
